Official guidance
The 7+ rating indicates content generally suitable for children seven and older, such as mild fantasy themes, very light suspense, or gentle non-realistic conflict.
Apps and games scope
AARB is not limited to games. It currently covers Appsinity apps as well, including mobile apps, web apps, desktop software, games, media listings, tools, educational content, creator utilities, screenshots, trailers, and other submitted public material.
Transparent disclosures
A rating decision considers age suitability, content descriptors, interactive elements, data safety signals, monetization, online communication, and listing accuracy.
Developer duty
Developers must provide truthful metadata, lawful assets, accurate privacy details, and updated disclosures whenever app functionality or content changes.

Apps and games
This rating may apply to games, applications, tools, community products, educational products, or other digital content. Non-game apps can still require an age recommendation when they include communication, purchases, location, user content, mature topics, or data-sensitive features.
- A utility app may still need a higher age recommendation because of chat, location, or user content.
- A game may receive a lower rating when content is mild and controlled.
- A rating should be read with descriptors and interactive elements.
Display requirements
Publishers should display the correct AARB badge near install, purchase, or listing decision points and should not modify badge colors, wording, or minimum age meaning.
- Use the latest rating report.
- Do not imply government approval outside Appsinity.
- Do not hide descriptors or interactive elements.
